Little Kiwi Cloth Nappy User Guide.
Please wash your cloth nappy before use to remove any manufacturing residue which may lower absorbency.
Once it has been washed and dried it is ready for use.
Please note nappies do require a few washes to reach optimum absorbency.
Kiwi Quick Flip
Lay it flat, fold the two wings over the mid section of the nappy to form a ‘T’ shape and that’s it.
Your quick flip is ready to put on your baby.
You can put a fleece or paper liner onto the nappy if you want to use one.
This is our most basic fold.
If you look at the appropriate page on the website, there are 2 other folds shown.

Packer Nappy
Stuff your packing pocket with the supplied booster, or any other boosting of your choice, then the nappy is ready to put on your baby.
This nappy can be worn either with the fleece layer against baby’s skin or on the outside.
If you need to boost quite well for a heavier wetting baby then you could use a terry square in the packing pocket.
This may make the pocket chunkier causing the nappy to push away from your baby, however using the nappy with the fleece pocket to the outside, with a fleece liner if you wish, should keep the nappy snug against baby.
Both Nappy Types
Put your baby on the nappy, bring the front part up to his/her tummy button and bring the tabs around your baby.
Fasten them using either the Velcro (if attached) or a nippa or pins.
Then cover the nappy with a wrap.
We recommend our fleece covered wraps.
When the nappy needs changing, remove it and clean your baby as usual, then replace with another cloth nappy.
Cloth Nappy Washing Guide.
Shake any solids into the toilet, and then place the nappy into your bucket.
The wrap can be wiped out, aired and then used again.
It does not need washing unless it smells or is dirty.
We recommend washing fleece and terry separately as washing together can cause premature bobbling of the fleece.
Make sure you fasten any velcro, either to wash tabs or to the usual nappy/wrap closures, before washing to avoid velcro sticking to other fabrics.
When you are ready to wash the nappies, give them a good rinse in cold water- a prewash will do or a rinse/soak in a bucket.
Then wash them at the temperature stated.
If you live in a hard water area please use bio detergent as the action of the bio is needed to break down the hardness in the water.
If you’re in a soft water area you can use whatever you please.
We don’t recommend the use of conditioner as it can coat the fibres and reduce the absorbency of the nappy, however you should be alright using a small amount of clay based softener if you really need some, or 2 big spoons of white vinegar in the rinse cycle.
Run the nappies through an extra rinse cycle and then dry them, either on the line, an airer, or in the tumble dryer.
If your nappies go hard or crispy while air drying they can be rubbed with a hard towel or tumble dried for 10 minutes or so.
Please be aware that washing dark or bright coloured terry nappies in with paler colours may result in coloured fluff sticking to the paler nappies.
We always recommend washing darks and brights separately.

How to use your Nappi Nippa.
A nippa fastening nappy will usually fit longer than one with integral fastenings, and use of a nippa leaves plenty of natural movement for the baby.
To improve elasticity of your Nappi Nippa, stretch each arm before use.

Care and Safety Instructions
Clean your Nappi Nippa in hot soapy water.
Warning: Always use a wrap over a Nappi Nippa fastener.
Keep out of children’s reach when not in use! When the Nappi Nippa is not in use, fold the thin strip at the end of each arm to the back of the Nappi Nippa and slip over the teeth of the white grip.
This acts as a barrier and prevents the sharp teeth from being exposed.
Do not leave teeth side up on the floor or any other surface!
Replace your Nappi Nippa after 6 months.
Not UV resistant.
Caution: Any tear in the Nappi Nippa can lead to separation of a piece, presenting a possible choking hazard.
Inspect the Nappi Nippa before each use and dispose of immediately if there is any sign of damage.
Do not attempt to customise your Nappi Nippa in any way.
